When did you start living the healthy lifestyle and why did you choose to do so?
I started living a healthier lifestyle in March of 2015. I had thought about it for a while but with two kids and a very busy lifestyle it didn’t seem possible to achieve it. However, I decided it was now or never!
How long have you been on the accelerator program?
I did two rounds of the accelerator program for a total of 24 weeks.
How did this program change your perspective?
After 24 weeks on the program it created habits I hope will carry on for the long term, most importantly, the impact that diet can have, particularly the number of times I should be eating each day. Prior to starting the program, a typical day would be barely getting in breakfast, if at all, sometimes getting lunch and then a large dinner. Now I feel guilty if I don’t eat at least 5 times a day.
How have you benefited from this program?
I’ve benefited in many ways from the program. Learning how important nutrition is, being consistent in workouts and eating habits and monitoring progress have been a great benefit. Additionally, prior to starting the program, I was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis in my left shoulder. I would routinely have discomfort/pain during the day. Now, with increased muscle tone, I’ve noticed that I have less discomfort and rarely have pain in my shoulder.
What is your overall goal with the accelerator program?
My goal for this program was to get more lean and build some muscle.
What was the decision that made you hire Michelle Johnson?
I hired Michelle after seeing pictures of a work acquaintance on Facebook who credited Michelle for her results. I found Michelle’s Facebook page and the results of those who worked with her were great. I called her up and next thing I knew I had a nutrition plan and an exercise plan.
