Experience tells us what to do and what not to do and confidence allows us to do it or do the unthinkable with no regrets.
When we don’t have confidence we live in the spiral of our fears and those fears can take a negative toll and control over our lives. We need to take care of our personal welfare, which is a lot like spiritual warefare and stamp negative forces out of our lives. The secret to successfully doing this is to start by cleaning up unfinished business. This does not mean you need to go backwards and revisit bad habits or relationships. The only bad relationship you need to relook at is the one you have with yourself. It is time to take a hard look at your life choices. It’s not about what your parents did and how they did it, it’s not a blame game…this is about you and WHY you haven been a poor decision maker. We can live our life in the drama of our excuses. We know when we have gone down the beaten path that is only going to beat us up and make us question our judgment, our sanity, our entire being – yet we love the drama of digging ourselves out.
WE are our worst enemies and we sabotage ourselves, create a life full of suffering, negative results and hold others accountable for the fact we lack enough confidence to set things up differently. We stay being mediocre and act as though we have no control over our lives. We are much more powerful than we give ourselves credit for. So why do we dim the light that is meant to shine inside of us? It is safer and easier to fit in to what we associate as “normal” or will give us the most acceptance. Society keeps us suppressed in some ways and so do some relationships. We live life for others and not our own truth. So many people do try to get help to find themselves and do use resources such as therapy, spiritual guidance, medications, books and so on. But, honestly if you are not actively changing your defaults and getting out of your comfort zone – – NOTHING will look or feel different. When we feel inspired or something resonates within us that someone said or did, it hits a chord that sings AHA! It is the AHA moment something mystical; something magical can take place and your it triggers that light within you to shine with intensity. The only way it will drive us is if that moment becomes an epiphany so that we are brave enough to take a step in a new direction. The trick is it has to make you tick and want to fearless move in a different direction. You have to relentlessly trust yourself, have faith and believe in the outcome. You will feel magnetically drawn to something that has a lesson in it for you. It’s like a nagging inner voice that won’t let you get it out of your head. When we trust that voice inside us it leads to great self confidence. There is an aliveness we feel, a vibrational energy that is charged when we are in our truth and on the right path. We innately know even if it does not make sense we must take that leap of faith and just keep going. We stop watching the signposts along the way and we live in the feeling….
Life is meant to be experiential. See it new things more as an experiment. We stereotype, judge and expect things to look and be a certain way. This stunts our perceptions and opportunities tremendously and shuts us off from things that actually could make us very happy, stronger or that missing ingredient we crave to be in the recipe of life. What we learn may create the balance we strive for or open us up to new opportunities.
Our lifestyle, the people in it, our bodies, our choices and how we view all of this is based on our own perceptions of reality and what that reality should look like – Some believe it is all divinely orchestrated and every moment is at it should be. Overall no matter what we believe in, we all know on some level it is our palette to paint, create and to explore all the colorful things life has to offer. What if you do try something new and it recreates your entire lifestyle and the people you associate with. Is changing something we fear because it is something out of your comfort zone and we are so afraid of making others uncomfortable and having to deal with their disapproval of us, that we will live our life on that note, never really knowing our true self. What a sin to have a secret self that you hold like a prisoner in a closet. Can you imagine how freeing it would be to not care what anyone else thinks and to just do and be the real you?!
It is important for us to take a hard honest look at how we interpret our own decisions. We cannot lie to ourselves because our body will let us know and our mind will weaken. It’s like a swelling or inflammation that takes place on a cellular level. Eventually what is boiling underneath will come up, but if you try to put a lid on it, it may blow up or something tragic could happen. Poor decisions lead to poor results in life that lead us to nothing but low self esteem. Cyclically this leads to more bad choices, to a very sad life and outlook on it. This is how people wind up suicidal, mentally breaking down, in mediocre lives living fantasies, daydreaming about the what ifs….we look at every decision we make as positive or negative. We are our own worst enemies that judge ourselves more so than anyone. When we are okay with our intention and understand who we are. No one can make us feel anything and their judgements of us have no power over us. We actually develop compassion for others who have a need to judge and all becomes much more transparent. This is called getting “clear”. This clarity we possess within our life and infrastructure is a great foundation for building our dreams and living life with a sense of stability. We are able to get closure with some dead ends in our life and proceed with a sense of purpose. We need to pause before we leap and sometimes we need to just leap because the voice has been shouting DO IT for so long that we have to stop being paralyzed by our fears.
We know when it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee! We must take care of your own personal welfare. When we do we are gifted with what we really deserve and that is real people who share the same viewpoint, a life of integrity and mystical gifts that come in ways we least expect. The laws of karma are present in our life and really it is our own conscience that sets the wheels in motion. Look at what seem to be your current DEFAULTS. Begin by contemplating what needs to be sacrificed in order to have true JOY. Think honestly about what it is that you are avoiding? What are you afraid of confronting? What in your life has you sitting in a spiral of your fears or drams that have you going in vicious circles around the same issue? Are you still wrestling with the same cast of characters that leave you feeling drained and incomplete? Facing these core issues develops confidence. Chose to follow those who are on the path to bliss and begin to emulate some of their habits…Going in a new direction and doing new thing eventually will become more comfortable and you will in no time have some great new habits and a more likely change of living life fully and becoming your full potential. If you want to change take note that you must do something in repetition again and again before it becomes a habit!
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us”
